What is naturalness?

Naturalness is the quality of nature playing an active role – in human behavior, in design, in architecture, anywhere. Of going with the motions of nature, not against.

Its core premise: Man is most happy when he can be his natural self and can experience that he is part of nature.

Naturalness requires faith in nature, in humanity, in people. Enough faith to release some control, constrain, overrule, regulate. To let go instead, and trust that good things will happen because nature, humanity, people are essentially good.
